16In Tongling, Anhui, "Beidou + weather" services have gone to the agricultural front line, precisely diagnosing crop conditions and scientifically guiding production, making technology a good helper for raising farmers' incomes.
At Pujiu Farm in Tongling, nearly 30,000 mu of wheat are at the critical regreening-to-jointing stage. Ensuring that every mu gets precise care is the guarantee of a summer grain harvest. Overhead, plant-protection drones with Beidou navigation fly autonomously along preset centimeter-level precision routes, steadily spraying foliar fertilizer.

Drone operator Wang Youyi:It achieves precise spraying. We can cover nearly a thousand mu per day, greatly reducing the overall input of labor, water, fertilizer and pesticides.

The "precision" Wang mentions comes from the stable spatiotemporal reference provided by Beidou signals, ensuring that even at high flight speeds the spraying route error stays within a few centimeters.

In another field, grain grower Bu Qiming had just averted a crisis. Through the smart agriculture platform on his phone, he found one of his fields waterlogged after continuous rain, and immediately organized people to clear the ditches and drain the water.

Grain grower Bu Qiming:With the smart agriculture weather station "taking the pulse and prescribing" for our fields, we can manage a thousand mu of good farmland from the ridge.

Wu Liwei, deputy director of the Agricultural Technology Department of Tongling Punong Group:"Beidou navigation" plus "smart weather" is like installing a "smart brain" on grain production. We now "speak with data" - which field lacks what is clear at a glance on the system screen.
Today, Beidou-based smart monitoring and precision operations are widely applied in fields across the country
