AI Drone Field Patrol and Smart Precision Agriculture Demonstration Project

The project addresses the long-standing pain points of traditional agriculture in field patrols, pest observation, harvest judgment and labor input. Focusing on high-value crop scenarios, it builds a "drone patrol + sensing capture + AI analytics + cloud control" smart precision agriculture solution. Driven by our expert team, it has already been deployed in Pingtung, Yilan, Tainan, Taoyuan, Hualien and

Core capabilities include agricultural sensing and data collection, long-range low-power transmission, AI analysis of agricultural data, and cloud-based automated farm control. The system collects soil temperature and humidity, soil conductivity, air temperature and humidity, light intensity, water pH and CO2, and returns monitoring results in real time to support fertilization, irrigation, supplemental lighting and ventilation operations

On the production management side, the project combines drones, satellite imagery and fixed cameras with image analysis to help farmers judge crop maturity, estimate the optimal harvest window and forecast yield. For example, in coffee and dragon fruit scenarios, the team has used drone imagery for maturity recognition, flower counting, harvest-date prediction and shipment planning, greatly improving planting management

In practical terms, reports mention that a Pingtung dragon fruit farm used to spend about two hours inspecting lighting conditions across eleven hectares at night; with drone patrols this was cut to about twenty minutes. Another farm operator noted that the smart precision agriculture system helps farmers save about 15% on labor and fertilizer costs, while the more consistent quality raised average selling prices by about 15%. At the same time,

Smart precision agriculture uses drones and fixed cameras to patrol fields and record crop growth for farmers

Overall, this project is not a single technology deployment but an integrated, practical smart agriculture solution combining drones, IoT, AI and cloud control. It helps agriculture move from "judging by experience" to "deciding by data", delivering cost reduction, efficiency, quality and scalable replication, and is already planning expansion into ASEAN markets and India.
